1997 Memoir Class

From Writing class pieces and Elementary teaching

When I lost my job as Chief Administrator of ZCLA on August 5, 1997 I knew I had to do something practical, fast.

To become a school teacher I had to first take the CBEST. The deadline for late registration for the August 9 administration had been August 5. I signed up for the next administration, which would be in October. I wouldn’t be able to start teaching until January. I had time to take a course at UCLA Extension. There was a memoir writing class being taught by Maureen  Murdoch.

2. The Summer Before College

3. Warren and I on the Sidewalk in Front of the Blue House

4. A Night at the Fillmore

5. First Love

6. Into the Heart of Not Knowing

7. Farewell to the True Man of No Rank
