Watching Lakota Health & Culture Week 9, toward the end, after telling three stories of how different medicine men were chosen by the spirits, Albert talks about one who sought the gift. The conclusion is NEVER seek to be a medicine man. Hearing that was by far the most convincing answer I have ever heard to the question “Why did I never receive transmission?”. I need to really internalize that message and all it’s nuances and implications. Also, see if it’s in Albert’s book.
