From Stage 6. Late Adulthood – The Artisan in the Wild Orchard, Art, Spiritual Steppingstones August 8, 2008, and Contacts with Source
I read a glowing report about Gabrielle Roth and her 5Rhythms system of dance and movement as spiritual practice in Andrew Harvey’s book The Direct Path. I went looking for a local group and found Michael Skelton and Jo Cobbett, who were offering something called Fumbling Toward Ecstasy right nearby in Culver City. I expected it would be good, but I didn’t anticipate it massively and joyfully opening up my Zen Practice. I often went next door to La Dijonnaise after dance to get a cup of coffee and write with the energy that flowed after dance class. The notes got jumbled into an ongoing piece eventually called Dancing Into the Library. I have since untangled the dance notes and tried to identify the dates and put them in chronological order. This is my attempt to recover those raw, unprocessed Dance Notes.
