From Wholeness/Integration, Stage 5. Early adulthood – The Soul Apprentice at the Wellspring, and 12/9/2012 Daily Log – Identifying a countercultural through line

Keep developing the clarity of mind and openness of heart needed to help co-create an Earth Community based on wisdom, compassion, and the oneness of life.

1. Allow the flow of energy to empty this vessel so it can contain everything.

2. Moment by moment move in the dance of life so as to most effectively benefit the evolving global awakening.

3. Develop and deepen the kindness and understanding with my wife and life partner, extend those qualities to family, neighbors, and colleagues, and further extend them to larger social groups and issues.

4. See the world behind the world, by being a lover, philosopher, and artist.

5. Study myth, initiation, and mentoring to broaden and deepen the ability to serve.

6. Cultivate bridges between the Bodhisattva Way and the political realm, such as Circles of Trust and the Strategy of Generosity.

7. Paul Hawken says “Sustainability, ensuring the future of life on earth, is an infinite game, the endless expression of generosity on behalf of all”. Learn to play what James Carse calls the Infinite Game.

2. Trickster/shapeshifter
3. Bodhisattva
4. Servant Leader
5. Tribal drummer
6. Mentor

The previous object of my quest, from 1972-2001, had been something like: “receive empowerment to teach in the lineage of Dogen Zenji and Maezumi Roshi, and manifest as a Zen Master”. 

The revised object includes (but is not restricted to or limited by) all past, present, and future learning from Zen training and practice – as a local way I explored on the way to the great Way.
