From Resources
Ira Progoff’s Intensive Journal Process combines one of the oldest methods of self-exploration and expression–keeping a journal–with a structured format that enables you to get to know the inner core of your life on ever-deeper levels and gain a fuller perspective on where you are. The Intensive Journal Process also empowers you to take the action necessary to change the course of your life and unlock your hidden creative potential. This rich, insightful work is a treasure for all those involved in self-inquiry, artistic creation, and spiritual renewal.

1997 Memoir Class
From Writing class pieces and Elementary teaching
When I lost my job as Chief Administrator of ZCLA on August 5, 1997 I knew I had to do something practical, fast.
To become a school teacher I had to first take the CBEST. The deadline for late registration for the August 9 administration had been August 5. I signed up for the next administration, which would be in October. I wouldn’t be able to start teaching until January. I had time to take a course at UCLA Extension. There was a memoir writing class being taught by Maureen Murdoch.

2. The Summer Before College
3. Warren and I on the Sidewalk in Front of the Blue House
4. A Night at the Fillmore
5. First Love
6. Into the Heart of Not Knowing
7. Farewell to the True Man of No Rank

I usually tell myself that I should try again when I am older and wiser. It always feels like there is something there I need to know, but I’m not quite ready to grasp it.
Charles Eisenstein on the Yin and Yang of Active Hope
I want to share this whole essay I received today from Charles, called By Their Fruits Ye Shall Know Them. It captures the two poles of hope and realistic despair, and shows how they work together.
